About Us

The Mobile Robot Company is a Danish robotics company building practical automation for internal material handling. Founded in November 2024 by Emil Hauch Jensen and Odin Kudahl Skovsted, the company is headquartered in Hvidovre, Denmark.

The company’s first product is the J1600, a Danish-made, dual-mode self-driving pallet jack. Operators can drive it manually like a conventional electric pallet jack or send it autonomously to saved locations. People remain responsible for pallet pickup, task initiation and situations requiring judgment, while the robot handles repetitive travel and floor-level delivery. The J1600 carries loads of up to 1,600 kg and uses 3D LiDAR-based simultaneous localization and mapping to navigate without fixed tracks, wires, reflectors or structural modifications.

This human-in-the-loop approach addresses the space between repetitive manual pallet movement and complex, fully automated systems. It is designed for manufacturers, warehouses and logistics operations that want to reduce routine walking and transport work while preserving the flexibility to manage changing layouts, irregular loads and operational exceptions. The approach is particularly relevant to small and medium-sized businesses, single-shift operations and local material flows that are difficult to justify as traditional automation projects.

MRC brings its technology to customers through an international network of distributors, integrators and service partners providing demonstrations, trials, deployment and local support. Its aim is not to create people-free workplaces, but to let robots handle repetitive movement so employees can focus on work requiring judgment, adaptability and experience.
